Sleigh Riders ‘Summer Series’ Event a Great Success

What a great Saturday indeed despite above average temps and no rain.  {There's a news flash.} But the Sleigh Riders united and we raised right around $4000 to benefit the High Park Fire.

In addition to raising money for the High Park Fire cause the one thing I was most proud of on Saturday was the $700 the Sleigh Riders raised for our very own D Dennison to help offset the expense of the Memorial service for her two youngest children: Colton and Ashley!

All in all we ended with right around $4000 which will buy about 40,000 tree saplings.  Our next step will be to set up a time next year to get these trees here to Colorado and organize a Sleigh Riders event where we will all get together and replant a mountainside...or two!

For all those who spent their Saturday with the Sleigh Riders the board of directors and staff would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts.  Don't forget, the Christmas run is already in the planning stages and this years run will take place on Sunday December 23rd.

Also, July 4th anyone who is a Sleigh Rider and rides a motorcycle is invited to ride with us in the Greeley Stampede parade.  I will have a story out today before 7pm with all the details  you need...stand by.
