The city commission is going to get a few younger faces to face concerns of Loveland.

It’s almost time for young adults to apply to serve on the Loveland Youth Advisory Commission (YAC).

“The YAC is seeking new members to serve as commissioners and alternates for the 2019-2020 school-year. The commission will have one commissioner position and four alternate positions available.” -Loveland Youth Advisory Commission

Think student council, but with a local, real world twist.

“The Loveland Youth Advisory Commission is an official City board created to advise City Council on issues concerning youth and young adults in the Loveland community. As representatives of their peers, YAC commissioners strive to improve the community for young people and serve as their connection to City government.” -Loveland Youth Advisory Commission

There will be an open house 5pm to 6:30 pm, Wednesday, April 3 in the Erion Room at the Loveland Public Library.

There will be snacks and paper applications will be available at the meeting.

Deadline for submitting applications is April 25, 2019.

To be eligible for the Youth Advisory Commission, applicants must be between the ages of 12 and 21 and a student in the Thompson School District or a Loveland resident.
