Astroscale might not be a company you've ever heard of before, but they're doing big things...and about to do those things out of Denver, Colorado.

According to The Denver Post, it was announced that Astroscale, "a Japanese company that is designing a satellite to track, capture and destroy space debris, will locate its U.S. base of operations in metro Denver." (Source)

The technology apparently targets space debris-- there's a lot more of it than you think-- and throws it into Earth's atmosphere, causing it to burn itself up.

Astroscale will bring 54 jobs to Denver. Also according to The Post, "Space debris has become the bane of satellites and spacecraft and is considered a national security concern. The Department of Defense has dedicated $6 billion through 2020 to address the problem."
