With Christmas coming up, you already know you'll be hitting up the Outlets at Loveland soon for some holiday shopping.

So, since you'll probably already be there, consider participating in the mall's Share the Love campaign, an effort to get new coats and shoes to local children in need.

The campaign benefits Santa Cops, a non-profit organization working to provide toys to Larimer County's needy children this holiday season.

The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, December 7, and from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday December 8, near Workwear at the Outlets at Loveland.

Participants can donate new winter coats and shoes for children ages zero to 16 years old during those time periods.

The first 100 people to donate will receive a free day pass to Loveland Ski Area and a $30 gift card to the outlet stores.

"We all have a time where we all need something," said Peggy Ziglin, Director of Tourism and Business Development with Craig Realty Group and Outlets at Loveland. "We really do want to share the love...[with] these wonderful children."

On top of donating toys and coats, Santa Cops also strives to enhance the relationship between children and law enforcement.

"[Santa Cops] want[s] to be a part of being able to bring a smile to the children's face," said Bill Gentry, President of Santa Cops and a retired member of the Larimer County Sheriff's Office. "And really just show them that we're not bad guys and that we're here to help."

Part of building this positive relationship is by providing these children with the clothing and toys their families need during the holiday season.

It all starts by sharing the love.
