'Astronaut,' 'rock star' and 'doctor' are typical answers. I work in radio, because clearly I was never going to make it to med school... As for everyone else in Colorado, this is the answer to 'What did you want to be when you grew up?'

Patch.com shared that in Colorado, most people had the dream job of becoming a teacher when they grew up.

Those who do teach, usually do it because they love it, and care about education and shaping future generations. Coming from a family of teachers, I know it's a hard gig and often thankless; it requires patience, being good with kids and at least a decent understanding of math in most cases.

Unfortunately, Colorado teachers don't make rock star salaries, but we like to do our part to recognize the classroom rock stars we have in NoCo. Make sure you nominate your favorite teacher every month, and vote in Teacher Tuesday.
