I can vividly remember 14 years ago today sitting in front of my television watching the Daytona 500 and cheering for Dale Earnhardt to win the race. He was right there and then tragedy hit.
We have almost made it through the toughest few weeks of the year for a sports fan. The time between when the Super Bowl ends and the beginning of the NASCAR season is a vast wasteland of nothingness.

Martin, 54, became the second-oldest driver to secure a Sprint Cup pole when he finished with the best speed during Friday's qualifying for the Subway Fresh Fit 500 at Phoenix International Raceway scheduled for this Sunday.
Matt Kenseth held off Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Greg Biffle to win his 2nd Daytona 500. The race started under the lights last night because of number of rain delays, but didn’t finish until early this morning because of a fiery crash involving Juan Pablo Montoya. NASCAR delayed the race for 2 hours after Montoya slammed into a Jet Dryer Truck during a caution.

Campbell will hit the stage at 10:45 AM ET on Sunday, Feb. 26. He is slated to play a free, 90-minute set. Yes, you read right. The show is free.
