Yesterday, shorts weather. Today, you're probably wearing a parka. That's just how it is in Colorado. The crazy weather shift over the past 48 hours has set a record for temperature swings in the month of October in Denver according to KDVR.

Denver reached 83 degrees as of 2 p.m. on Wednesday. The cold weather crept in quickly with a 64-degree drop in temperature to 19 degrees as of Thursday morning.

The largest one-day temperature swing ever recorded was on Jan. 25, 1872 where the temperature went from 46 degrees to negative 20.
