The All Time Best and Worst Movies About Country Music on the Silver Screen [VIDEO]

It is hard to believe it has was 24 years today George Strait made his big screen debut as Dusty Chandler in the classic movie "Pure Country". I just love that movie and the music in it. I remember how cool it was to see my hero, George Strait, up there on the big screen. It was such a treat and that movie still ranks high on my list of all time favorites. It is certainly on my list of top 5 movies about country music.

Through the years there have been quite a few movies about country music. Some have been great and some have stunk like Todd after a night at the Mexican buffet. "Urban Cowboy" may be the biggest of all time but didn't make my list. Ten years ago "Walk The Line" received 5 Oscar nominations and that movie did make my list.
