The City of Fort Collins about the West Central Area of the city at a series of public "Listening Sessions". The City is kicking off a planning effort for the west central part of the city, an area which generally encompasses the neighborhoods south and west of Colorado State University. The West Central Area boundaries extend from Drake to Mulberry, between Shields and Taft Hill, and also from Drake to Lake between the Mason Corridor and Shields.

The Plan will provide a basis for updated land use regulations, transportation projects, housing policies, natural resource protection, historic preservation, and neighborhood character - including a new conceptual design for a section of Prospect Road from Shields Street to College Avenue.
