The Colorado Eagles are no stranger to pressure this postseason. Facing elimination in the Western Conference Finals, the Eagles beat Fort Wayne in overtime in the decisive game 7 to claim the conference Championship. With their backs against the wall again last night in the Kelly Cup Finals, the Eagles pushed back against the Florida Everblades in front of a full house at the Budweiser Events center and got the 4-2 win to send the series back to Florida. The next game will decide the championship.

The Eagles led throughout most of the game with Eagles forward Michael Joly providing most of the offense throughout. Joly gave the Eagles a 1-0 lead at the 4:34 mark of the first period. After the Everblades tied the score, Joly struck again after a turnover to give the Eagles a 2-1 advantage. In the final period, down 3-1, the Everblades pulled their goalie for the man advantage, but it didn't work. Joly struck again with empty netter with 1:21 left in the game.

Eagles goaltender Joe Cannata made 26 saves on 28 shots to close the door on the Everblades in game 6.

The final game of the Finals and the final game for the Eagles in the ECHL will be this Saturday night in Estero, Florida. The puck will drop at 5pm (Mountain). You can watch and follow at echl.com.
