The whole world got a lot cooler on this date 65 years ago today. It was on this day in Poteet, Texas that the greatest country singer to ever grace our format was brought into this world. Mr. George Strait celebrates his 65th birthday today.

There is no artist who has been as classy and cool as George has been in every aspect of his life. He is the gold standard for what every performer should look at for inspiration for how to do things. He has provided the soundtrack that my bride and I have danced to for over 30 years.
