This day in country music history was a very special one. This is the day in 1984 that four legends, the Mount Rushmore of country music, Kris Kristofferson, Johnny Cash, Willie Nelson and Waylon Jennings all gathered together and recorded the classic song "Highwayman" which would later become a whole album and would cause them to create the supergroup by the same name.

Not only was it such an epic event to have these four legends get together to make a record but what was even cooler was that the record was actually really good. It is hard to believe it has been over 30 years since we were blessed with this epic album. Here are a couple of magical cuts to relive the memories.
