We know Colorado's famous haunted hotel offers visitors a scenic experience in the Rockies —or a paranormal one— but it'll now offer a different experience: concerts.

Colorado isn't short on unique concert venues, namely Red Rocks Amphitheatre, but we're about to have one just outside Rocky Mountain National park where thousands of guests go every year, mostly to get scared.

According to The Denver Post's The Know, AEG Presents Rocky Mountains has joined in partnership with the hotel that inspired Stephen King's The Shining. So, basically, that means AEG, which books nationally-touring acts, now has the hotel as a venue. So that's just pretty awesome.

For those of you who haven't been recently, last spring the hotel opened a $10 million amphitheater [Westword]. AEG has plans to use The Stanley as a 'boutique venue,' so if a band plays a sold out show at Red Rocks, for example, they could add on a smaller show at the hotel in Estes Park.

" The Stanley, with its classic but understated glamour, spooky reputation and (perhaps most important) successful track record of hosting multi-night runs from performing artists, looks particularly attractive to [bands]." - AEG tells The Know

The Loveland Reporter Herald says that AEG Presents Rocky Mountains will bring over 60 shows and events to The Stanley Hotel, and we can't wait to see who... if we dare!
