There are certain movies that define a period of time in our culture. We had a great example of that on this date in 1980 when the iconic film 'Urban Cowboy' was released. This movie put country in the mainstream and made people realize what we always knew...country is cool.

The one bad thing about this was we started seeing lots of 'fake' cowboys. We saw lots of weekend wrangler wearers. Thank you to John Travolta for another memorable movie that actually stands the test of time. This is still a good movie nearly 30 years later.
