My Grandfather once told me that you will never be disappointment if you spend the money and buy the best. He also told me that bacon and beer were the keys to a long life. This man was brilliant. There may not be medical research to back up his bacon and beer claim but it has been my experience that he WAS right about buying the best.

We have all bought things that we have regretted buying soon after. Now and then you make one of those purchases that is worth every penny you spent and more. I got to thinking the other day about what are the best things I have ever spent money on. I came up with this list. Keep in mind that WD-40 and duct tape are awesome but did not make my top 5.

5. My Clint Eastwood DVD boxset.

4. My Paula Deen 9x13 pan

3. My Ford Taurus. I bought it new and it had well over 250,000 miles on it.

2. My Harley. My soul has been freed since I bought this.

1. It's not even close. My bed from Innomax is the greatest thing I have ever bought. I love it as much today as I did 15 years ago. The greatest sleep ever.
