Folks, we may have a record-breaking amount of snowfall in one day here. We're a little more used to a late spring storm leaving us with feet of snow, but in November? That's not quite as common.

According to the National Weather Service, the record set for most November snow in one day in Fort Collins is 21.1 inches, set on November 20, 1979. The most recent November snow that made the top ten was during the first week of November in 2011, but that was just over nine inches.

Today, parts of Fort Collins reportedly got between 18 and 24 inches. Not only does that set a record for November, but it's in the top five for the Daily Snowfall Records of all time... maybe even setting a new all-time high.
