No, it won't get you high. But it does offer possible health benefits.

Top Shelf Organix, a local CBD store owned by Brad and Jennifer Boehm, opened in Windsor on Friday, November 29, according to The Greeley Tribune

Located at 401 Pointe Plaza Drive, Unit C, near Doug's Diner, the shop offers a wide variety of organic CBD products and nature photography.

The Boehms were inspired get into the CBD business after Brad was diagnosed with Stage IV non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, an aggressive cancer of lymph nodes and tissue, in 2016.

His original prescription medication began causing seizures, which he quickly grew frustrated with.

Searching for a better option, Brad soon turned to CBD, the non-intoxicating element found in marijuana and hemp plants. Using CBD oil from Natural Wellness in Greeley, he became amazed by its positive effects.

Quickly becoming advocates for the powers of CBD, the couple decided they needed to open their own store.

Boehm found that CBD he purchased online did not have the same effects as local products, so he wanted to provide another local option to Northern Coloradans.

The primary goal of Top Shelf Organix is transparency. The couple diligently researches every product before placing it on their shelves, in order to ensure it is of the utmost quality.

Selling products from Natural Wellness, the store also offers items from Rocky Mountain Botanicals, Yudah, and Blue Sky.

Education about CBD is another priority for the couple. They want to erase public misconceptions about the product, and hope to host in-house educational seminars in the future.

The store is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
