With Thanksgiving approaching, we're all thinking about food. But no one is thinking about food as much as the Weld Food Bank. There are currently over 10,000 families facing food insecurity in Northern Colorado, and the agency is on a mission to help them in their fight against hunger.

Townsquare Media is assisting the Food Bank in its mission through Townsquare Cares: Feeding NoCo, a partnership with the Weld and Larimer County food banks aiming to provide Northern Colorado families in need with the normalcy of a holiday meal this season.

"When we think about coming together over food and what a special time it is for family and friends and sharing thanks together, it is even more important that people are able to have some of that normalcy in their lives during this time," said Stephanie Gausch, Chief Development Officer at Weld Food Bank, in our "Tuned In to NoCo" interview. "Without the community support, the Food Bank would be able to accomplish nothing."

You can donate to Townsquare Cares online here or by texting FeedNoCo to 50155. However, that's not the only way you can help the Food Bank.

The agency is teaming up with Saint Patrick in Greeley for Beaujolais Nouveau, a wine-tasting fundraiser that benefits the Food Bank. On November 18 at Mason's Event Center, guests can enjoy wine tasting, appetizers, live music, and more — all while contributing to a great cause.

Sign up for the event here and, if you're looking for extra ways to chip in, you can also donate a turkey or volunteer at the Food Bank.

"It takes a community to address an issue like hunger. It's always just great to see the kind of support that comes in during this time of year," said Weston Edmunds, Communications Manager at Weld Food Bank. "That [gets] a meal for a family on Thanksgiving or Christmas and it's a day for them to not have to worry."
