Sales Account Executive

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS: We are currently recruiting for an Account Executive who has the ability and desire to make a lot of calls to businesses, create relationships with current and potential clients and create great on-going advertising campaigns. Candidates must demonstrate dependability, passion, strong communication and problem-solving skills. Business acumen, open-mindedness and a sense of what it takes to win are essential. Previous broadcast/digital sales experience a plus.

JOB SUMMARY: A Townsquare Media Account Executive is the primary contact to existing and prospective customers. You will develop business relationships; sell radio advertising, our digital portfolio of products, event sponsorships and sales promotion packages by performing the following duties:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Promote and sell radio advertising, digital products, events and promotional programs to existing clients on your account list.
  • Develop additional accounts by consistently cold-calling and creating relationships with new advertising customers
  • The majority of your time will be spent on the street meeting, inquiring and crafting advertising programs for your clients, both new and existing.
  • Prepares advertising schedules, promotional plans, sales literature, proposals and sales contracts.
  • Responsible to accurately project revenues, meet and exceed monthly budgets for all product lines and overachieve annual budgets.
  • Enters new customer data and other sales contract details for station clients into computer database.
  • Follow accountability set forth by your Sales Manager to help guide you to success
  • Investigates and resolves client issues

Promotions Director

JOB SUMMARY: Provides direction, organization, creativity and strategy regarding marketing, branding, promotions and execution needed to create a marketable and profitable radio station group in the Fort Collins/Loveland/Greeley markets.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Plans, oversees and partners with others to market the on-air, digital, social media, live event and client relations
  • Meets with programming and sales departments to create and execute plans
  • Evaluates local events and marketing opportunities to enhance the station’s visibility and revenue potential.  This includes local event, promoters and community organizations.
  • Meets with Director of Sales weekly to create and execute sponsorship programs around live events and other station programs
  • Recruits and manages a Promotions Assistant
  • Monitors and evaluates individual station brand and marketing plan effectiveness
  • Coordinates and schedules staff for appearances and other stations functions
  • Prepares, reviews or participates in the budget process
  • Meets with Operations Manager, GM, Director of Sales or other executive level management to discuss, review and evaluate station’s strategies
  • Works with corporate live events team to help create and execute events in the market
  • All other duties assigned by owners, officers or management

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Directly supervises employees in the marketing/promotions department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring, training, reviewing, and termination of marketing/promotions staff. Carries out all supervisory duties in compliance with company policy and applicable local, state and federal laws.

QUALIFICATIONS: Must successfully perform required duties satisfactorily. Individual must have radio, marketing and event knowledge to successfully carry out day-to-day operations. Must be proficient in Excel and PowerPoint and have a general comfort level with technology.

EDUCATION: College diploma or equivalent, prior industry experience and at least 2 years in an industry-related supervisory role, and/or 5 years in another field. A combination of experience and education is acceptable.

Townsquare Media, Ft. Collins, CO, 99.9 KKPL, The Point, is looking for a Brand Manager, Morning Host, Music Director and Digital Contributor.

Adult Top 40/Hot AC, KKPL, 99.9-The Point needs a Brand Manager that can direct and coordinate daily radio programming operations. Develops, schedules and supervises production, recording, and airing of all programs.

The Townsquare Media Brand Manager is responsible for presenting the station’s brand with excellence on the air, online, and at events.

Candidates need to possess outstanding verbal and written skills. Needs to be highly organized, driven and comfortable delegating responsibility, while being willing and able to do any job within the department. Should not only be highly skilled in broadcasting but also in developing online content. Must understand their station's listening audience wherever they use the brand. Needs to work well as a member of a team, operating in unison with digital, sales, promotion and engineering staff, and know how to motivate a staff. Excellent working knowledge of Music Scheduling systems, digital production and storage systems, and online content management solutions such as WordPress is essential.

Candidates should demonstrate a minimum three years of successful experience as a program director.

This internship will entail a variety of tasks that will better the skills and understanding at the position of Digital Editor/Marketing Assistant Intern. These skills will be highly beneficial in the advancement of education for the intern, as well as provide real-world work experience.
