Trace Adkins Brings A Smile To My Face With ‘Just Fishin” [VIDEO]

As someone who loves to fish, I saw the title of Trace Adkins new song, and I was excited to have another fishing song coming through the speakers. Then I heard the song, and I like it even more than I thought I would, and it's not even really a fishing song.

As you may or may not know, I have a three year old daughter who is the light of my life. Trace has five daughters (he is a crazy man by the way). His youngest daughter, Trinity, gets the spotlight in the new tune. The pair grab their fishing poles and tackle box and head off into the woods for a day of fishing, but more importantly, some good quality time together. Kids grow up so fast, and before you know it you dont have the oppurtunity to do things like this, so the real message in Adkins new hit is " not so much about the fishing part. It’s about being with your baby.” Adkins said. With news of mothers killing their kids and simply walking through the grocery store and seeing parents that obviously don't care about their kids, it makes me sad. But, this new tune, and the video to go with it puts a smile on my face and helps to remind us parents that no matter how much they may drive you nuts at times, enjoy them while you can!
