Two Americans in Italy

Largo di Torre Argentina was occupied by four temples built in the third century B.C., and by the Theatre and Curia of Pompey, the place in which Julius Caesar was murdered in 44 BC. It's also home to about 150 cats. It sits right in the middle of Rome.

It is definitely one of the spots my wife and I wanted to visit while we were in Rome.

Roman cats have always found shelter among the ancient ruins of the city. Torre Argentina volunteers work 7 days a week to feed, clean and look after the cats.

My lovely wife, Jenny, took these wonderful photos
