Take a fun tour of the United States with a catchy song and plenty of doodles.

It's truly fascinating what you find on the Internet. Just when you think you've seen everything, there's something else that pops up for years ago that you didn't know existed. Case in point, this Tour the States video. It's a rundown of each state and its capitol, but it's done with a fun song.

Way cooler than the songs they taught us in school.

What I found mesmerizing in this video is the visual aspect. You have a man sketching out the entire county on a massive white canvas. I'm not sure if he free-handed the entire thing, but with the way he drew in the borders for each state, I don't think he was tracing it. He then begins to map out and write out each capitol with a red star before filling in the white spaces with doodles. Each one is representative of the state it is touching.

For example, you have a longhorn for Texas, the Statue of Liberty for New York, and the "Welcome to Las Vegas" sign for Nevada.

I was curious what he would draw for Denver, Colorado. What would be your first instinct? I would have guessed something outdoor related like fishing or hunting. He chose a downhill skier which fits perfectly because that is an outdoor activity you can do in our state. If you watch the video below, he writes Denver in around the :40 mark, but doesn't draw the skier until about 1:20.
