On Saturday, November 5, students and staff of CSU will come together for the annual Fort Collins Fall Clean Up – a program aimed to assist the elderly and/or physically limited neighbors in the area with outdoor yard work. These residents either cannot complete this type of work themselves, or cannot afford to pay someone to do it. Besides preparing community members' homes for fall and winter, this program helps to build positive relations between long-term residents in Fort Collins and CSU students and staff. In 2015, over 1,200 volunteers helped 231 elderly and/or physically limited neighbors.

Volunteers are still needed this year to help with things like raking leaves, trimming bushes, cleaning gutters, and other similar activities. Clean up will go from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Projects and volunteers must be registered by October 14. All projects must be outdoors, and able to be completed within three hours. Residents are also required to be home at the time that volunteers are present, and must provide all of the necessary supplies needed to complete that specific project (rakes, garbage bags, etc.).
