One of the most iconic songs in music history was released 33 years ago today. The recording industry came together to try to make a difference in the world with the song "We Are the World". I think we all pretended to sing every part in this song and imitate whoever was singing the part. It still stands up are an unparalleled musical event.

Did you know there is country connection here? There were 37 artists involved in the project and 3 of them were country stars. We can probably all guess Kenny Rogers, as he was one of the main voices. You cannot miss the sound of Willie Nelson's voice in the mix either. The one you may not know about is Waylon Jennings. Waylon was there but did not get a lead line. He was blended into the background singers with the likes of Dan Aykroyd.

Check out the legendary collaboration here.
