We’ve Waited for 20 Years for the Sequel! It Will be Here in 2016

Independence Day is one of my all time favorite movies! I cannot even begin to tell you how many times I have watched it, and if it happens to be on TV when I am flipping through the channels, that's where the flipping stops. Stuck to my TV watching an intergalactic war take place right here on our own planet. This morning, I was scrolling through Facebook and a video popped up for the  upcoming sequel! I was so excited, I nearly jumped out of my chair and almost dropped my laptop. So when will be able to see the movie? Next summer, the long awaited, 20 years to be exact, sequel will be hitting the screen at theaters nationwide! A few of the original characters will be in the sequel. However, I have sad news to report. Will Smith's character, Col. Hiller, will not be in Independence Day: Resurgence as he died in 2007 while testing an alien craft according to the site, War of 1996.
