It's one of the biggest rivalries in college sports.  Tonight the Duke Blue Devils are at the North Carolina Tarheels. Getting ticket for the game is nearly impossible. It's even more impossible when the game is at Duke; which leads to the question: What is Krzyzewskiville?

Krzyzewskiville is a tent city inhabited by Duke University students waiting on line for tickets to Blue Devil games -- mostly games against the arch-rival  Tar Heels.  It began in 1986, when several Duke students set up tents on a Thursday afternoon to wait for tickets for a Saturday tip-off. Since then, camping out in Krzyzewskiville has become a Duke tradition.

Recently my wife and I took a trip to Duke University hospital to visit my Mom. Jenny and Dad and I took a walk across campus and stumbled upon Krzyzewskiville.

How did it all start? Just ask Coach Al Buehler, who is the former track and cross-country coach at Duke University.  He was a coach for over 50 years.

Why do the Students do it? Just ask Duke University Student Nicole Romero:

I took my iPhone and Jenny and I captured a few photographs of the excursion:
