When is the last time you saw good local dinner theatre? Many times it is an oxymoron, "Good Local Dinner Theatre".   We have a great dinner theatre in Fort Collins! They used to be called The Carousel Dinner Theatre!  The name has been changed to the Midtown Arts Center.  You may remember the building when it was the Mann 4 Theatre. (It closed in 1999.) My wife and I recently saw their production of 42nd Street and loved it!

If you like tap dancing, this show is for you! The cast is very strong.  They have a few performers that could have full-time careers as actors.  One of those performers is Sarah Ledtke. She plays the lead role of Peggy Sawyer, a chorus girl from Allentown, PA. Peggy is young, beautiful and talented and must overcome her nerves and give the performance of a lifetime! Sarah is a very strong dancer and gives an outstanding performance.

My favorite moments in the show are when the entire cast is on stage.  The familiar tunes like, "We're in the Money" have the entire crowd singing along! The dance numbers are just plain fun!  This show will make you smile.  The food is good too, which is not always the case at a dinner theatre.  I had the prime rib, which is a little extra, but well worth it. For the same price as dinner and a movie, you can get dinner and a live show.  I highly recommend it.  My wife and I love it so much we became lifetime members.

Midtown Arts Center has some exciting shows coming up including Annie Get Your Gun June 17th- August 27th.   42nd Street runs through June 11th.  For ticket info go to ADinnerTheatre.com
