Why NOW is the Best Time to Lose Some Pounds
If you have followed my story at all, you know that I have had an amazing physical transformation over the last year and half. I went from a nearly 350 lb man to a 195 lb human. There are no words to describe how much better I feel and how proud I am thanks to the miracle workers at Benchmark Medical Group in Windsor.
Losing weight is one battle, keeping it off is another. I have been winning that battle as well. I have stayed right around 190-200 lbs throughout the year. Most people who are going to try to lose weight or get in shape, wait until the New Year to begin. I say that is very foolish and that the next 2 to 3 weeks are the most important time for fitness. The reason I say that is that I plan on pigging out over the holidays. It is what we are supposed to do. In order to do that freely I want to be in prime shape and proper weight going into the eating season. I feel if I can get myself below my target weight over the next couple of weeks, then I can have what I want over the holidays with no fear. I may put on a few pounds but that would just get me back to normal. I like this plan. It is the famine before the feast.
If you are thinking of hitting it hard after the New Year, don't wait. Do it now and get yourself ready for the goodies. It is like training for a big fight. You put in a lot of road work and then wait for that fight bell...in this case you do the work and wait for the dinner bell. Let's get moving a bit before we settle in for the holidays.
