What’s Entertaining Todd

My wife and I went to  Cirque du Soleil's "Alegría" at the Budweiser Events Center in Loveland last night and were blown away! It was an unbelievable show! It starts a little slow and the androgynous musicians and scary clowns in the opening sequence had me a little worried and then....

POW!!!! A truly spectacular and wildly entertaining show emerged! I never would have dreamed that 2 clowns playing with paper airplanes would be my favorite part of the show, but they were so funny I nearly shot pop out of my nose! (And I wasn't even drinking pop!) It was pure comic genius! Throw in a fake horse passing gas, and a snowstorm in the Budweiser Events Center and I was hooked!

The acrobatic performers were simply amazing! There was a shirtless dude balancing on one hand! He could contort his body like an uncooked pretzel! Throw in breathtaking trapeze artists, 2 guys with flaming batons, and acrobats flying over each other on a stage turned giant trampoline and you have one of the most entertaining live shows I have ever witnessed! And that was all before intermission!  It's fun for the whole family! (There are a couple of adult references, but they fly right over the kid's heads as gracefully as the trapeze artists!)

Cirque du Soleil's "Alegría" has 8 Performance at the Bud Center from Janurary 26th-30th. There are 7 performances left including tonight!
