With blizzard conditions expected to hit to the area, a number of Northern Colorado schools have canceled classes and after-school activities on Wednesday, March 13.

Poudre School District that oversees Fort Collins schools, Weld RE-4 School District that oversees Windsor schools, the Estes Park School District and Thompson School District that oversees Loveland and Berthoud, all made closure announcements.

Neighboring Weld RE-5J School District that oversees Johnstown and Milliken schools and the Eaton School District have also canceled Wednesday classes.

In true Colorado fashion, the majority of announcements came Tuesday afternoon when temperatures were around 60 degrees. The area, however, was already under a blizzard warning from the National Weather Service. Wind gusts as high as 65 mph have also been forecasted.
