A National Weather Service Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for the Fort Collins and Greeley area starting Thursday evening.

Starting at 6 p.m. tonight (Thursday) until midnight on Friday, warning that three to six inches is expected for Fort Collins and Greeley, but could possibly reach up to 10 inches in some locations.

The advisory warns of slippery, hazardous road conditions, especially on the I-25 corridor, likely affecting Friday morning's commute. Late Friday and Saturday will be drier for Northern Colorado while snow continues in the mountains, the National Weather Service predicts, before light snow returns to the Front Range on Sunday.
