Wish My Hero, Inspiration, Guardian Angel, Best Friend and Father a Happy Birthday

Every year on this date I try to express to you and to my dad just how much he means to me. Today is my dad's birthday and he means the world to me. I would not have had a clue how to be who I am if it weren't for his guidance. How do you tell a man who is everything you hope to be what he means to you? I will try.

I know how lucky I am. I have a job and family I love and was raised by the most wonderful parents a child could ask for. I can honestly say that my dad is my hero. There is no one I look up to, admire, respect and love more than this man. He has been the greatest example of what a dad should be, what a husband should be, what a worker should be, what a friend should be, what a member of the community should be and just how God intended a man to be. I am so proud to call him my dad and my best friend.

In my life I have had many trying times and the one constant is that my dad always seems to sense when I need him and always seems to call or write when I need him the most. I have watched my entire life as people who get the pleasure of meeting my dad walk away feeling better than they did before they met him. He has the ability to make anyone who meets him feel good. I hope someday my children will look to me with just a hint of the admiration I have for my dad. All I ever want to do in my life is make him proud and carry on the legacy of kindness and happiness that he has instilled in me. The world is a better place because my dad is in it. I am so blessed. Happy Birthday Dad, Thank you and I love you with all my heart. You are my hero. I hope you can feel my arms around you dad.
