Woman Drives Through Egg & I on 10th Street in Greeley

Didn't know the Egg & I was a drive-thru restaurant? It's not...or at least not supposed to be. A 71-year-old woman drove her car through The Egg & I restaurant on 10th St. in Greeley yesterday after she mistook the gas pedal for the brakes.

According to the Greeley Tribune, only the back room was destroyed by the accident and the restaurant will be open today.

Marsha Jensen was stuck in her vehicle for about 10 minutes, but nobody was injured in the incident. The back window of the restaurant was shattered, tables were destroyed and walls of the restaurant’s back room were caved in.  Damage estimates are around $70,000.
