Did you know that Weld County is the number one county in the United States when it comes to Tornadoes? It's mildly jarring during the spring and summer months to see those dark clouds roll in and wonder if there will be a tornado or severe weather that will accompany those clouds. If you have always wanted to be a weather spotter, you can now sign up for the chance to help warn the citizens of Northern Colorado when severe weather is approaching.

the National Weather Service will be holding spotter training in Northern Colorado in the upcoming weeks and you can take a class on how to prepare yourself to become a weather spotter. The first spotter training session in Northern Colorado will be in Greeley on march 26th. the class will be from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Weld County Administrative Building located at 1150 O St. You can RSVP to: gmarquez@weldgov.com

March 30th from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Fort Collins at the City of Fort Collins Police Department located at 2221 S Timberline Rd. You can RSVP to: KE0LCK@coloradoaresr3d2.org

April 4th from 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in Loveland at the Rialto Theater located at 228 E 4th St and no RSVP is required.
