Boulder’s Pearl Street Mall on Shelter in Place Due to Bomb Threat
Boulder Police Department is investigating a potential threat in the Downtown Boulder area, with the Pearl Street Mall under a Mandatory Shelter in Place Order.
Shortly after 11 a.m. on Thursday, Boulder Police Department tweeted that anyone in the Pearl Street Mall area take 'protective actions immediately', meaning 'if inside shelter in place, all pedestrians outside evacuate the area immediately.'
At 11:22, Boulder Police Department shared that it has not confirmed the bomb threat, but is taking all necessary precautions while officials investigate. Boulder Police Department will update its Twitter with more information as it becomes available.
This comes just weeks after a deadly mass shooting at a Boulder King Soopers store, where ten people were killed, including Boulder Police Officer Eric Talley.
