I love all kinds of music. I love country music. I love rock and roll. I love certain pop songs.  I even like some classical music and of course, I love show tunes. I was in the musical every year in high school. I can't stand R&B, rap and hip hop. Jazz usually annoys me, but I can tolerate some of it. The bottom line is, my musical tastes are very eclectic. However, there are a few songs I am embarrassed to say, I love. I came up with the "Top Five Songs I Am Embarrassed to Have on My iPod".

Notice, there are no country songs on my list. I am not embarrassed about any of the country tunes I own. Here is my top five:

5. Abba - Dancing Queen

I grew up loving Abba. I had all of their 8-tracks when I was a kid. I probably couldn't come up with a favorite Abba song, because I like their entire catalog, but watching me sing "Dancing Queen" into my hairbrush can be embarrassing for everyone involved.

4. Michael Jackson - Man in the Mirror

I honestly believe Michael Jackson was one of the most talented artists that ever lived. I get why people think he was a freak. I get why people don't like his music. I believe he had lots of problems, as we all do, and died way too young. I usually don't tell everyone he is on my iPod. Now you know.

3. Air Supply - All Out of Love

When I was in high school I worked at the theater in Holyoke. We had four or five 8-tracks to play for the audience before movie started. One of them was Air Supply. Their greatest hits CD is one of my favorites. Many people would have put this one at #1.

2. Rent - The movie soundtrack

The movie "Rent" was o.k. The soundtrack was spectacular. I thought the movie was way too preachy and I didn't agree with freeloaders squatting on people's property. The subject matter was very controversial. However, the songs are great. It is no secret, I love show tunes and this is one of my favorite musical soundtracks. I almost surprised myself by admitting that I have all the songs from the movie on my iPod.

1. Britney Spears - Baby One More Time

I believe Brittney Spears 1st album was genius. Then she went a little crazy. "Baby One More time" is my favorite pop song of all-time. I'm not proud of it. Really! I know you don't believe me after seeing the rest of my list, but it's true. I am a little embarrassed that I love Britney Spears. So there you go. Feel free to make fun of me. I deserve it.
